What the key tasks will look like

We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst (Developer) who excels at transforming complex data into actionable insights and -ultimately - business value. If you’re eager to work on impactful missions, collaborate across departments, and shape the future of BI at DKV—this could be your next step.

  • Design, develop, and implement advanced Business Intelligence solutions that drive business value. For example; KPI reporting on performance or insights for better workforce planning or processes management augmentation.
  • Create, manage and oversee DKV’s reference report repository, by collecting, transforming, and structuring data from internal and external sources.
  • Define, maintain and train BI standards and documentation.
  • Act as a business partner, supporting data literacy, adoption of analytics and a data-driven culture across the organization. Anticipate future reporting needs and proactively propose solutions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest BI developments and proactively apply them to DKV’s context, including AI and GenAI applications.

Required skills and competencies

Background and personal skills

  • You have a  Master’s degree in Business Intelligence & Analytics, Data Science, Business Information Management or comparable (e.g. econometrics, applied Statistics, artificial intelligence, computer science ) , or equivalent in experience, with at least 2 years relevant experience. A background in health insurance or healthcare is a plus. Project/consulting experience is highly valued.
  • You have a strong methodological and quantitative way of thinking, with solid conceptual and practical problem-solving abilities.
  • You are structured and precise in your approach, with a sharp eye for quality and potential weaknesses in your work products, including those of colleagues.
  • You take initiative and work autonomously, while knowing when to align or ask for support or review and just as willing to offer one. You also have strong collaboration skills; you are good with business as well as IT.
  • You excel in communication and presentation skills; you are able to translate complex data into clear insights and present them with impact to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management.
  • You have an excellent command of English and Dutch and/or French, both written as spoken, and you are able to communicate with all levels within the company ranging from business user to top management.
  • You’re eager to learn and understand how the company works and how data can make a difference. You are able to build trust within the organization.
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment, have a talent for organizing and can handle pressure with ease.
  • You can work with large and sensitive datasets. You understand that, therefore, you are bound to regulations such as the GDPR and AI Act

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Power BI, SQL, DAX and data modeling (mandatory).
  • Strong experience with ETL processes and data preparation (of data residing in our DWH – managed by IT- or on standalone data sources).
  • Some experience with Python and tools like Visual Studio Code, Git, Bitbucket.
